At Elevio, we are committed to providing specialist colorectal and pelvic floor care in a calm, respectful and supportive environment. We understand that colorectal concerns can feel sensitive or worrying, and our team is focused on making your experience as comfortable, informed and reassuring as possible.

Our practice offers Holistic, evidence-based treatment, and clear communication at every step of your care. We work closely with your GP to ensure continuity and coordinated management.

Your First Appointment

Your first appointment is an opportunity to understand your symptoms, discuss your concerns, and develop a clear plan moving forward. Note that we also offer Telehealth appointments with specialists. Medicare rebates apply to Telehealth appointments in some situations.

During your visit, your specialist may:

Take a detailed medical history
Discuss your symptoms and concerns
Perform an examination if required (with your consent)
Recommend investigations or treatment options
Outline next steps and follow-up

A chaperone is present for examinations, and your comfort, dignity and consent are prioritised at all times.

For more complex conditions it may be preferable to return for a secondary appointment before proceeding with a procedure. Our goal is for you to feel completely comfortable about your treatment decision.

Appointment Fees

Elevio is a private specialist practice.

Consultation fees vary depending on the type and length of your appointment
Medicare rebates may apply where eligible
Any out-of-pocket costs will be explained prior to your appointment

Fees for procedures, investigations or treatments performed in rooms will be discussed with you in advance so you can make informed decisions.

What to Bring

Please bring the following to your first appointment:
Your referral
Your Medicare Card
Your Health Insurance Card
Your New Patient Form - completing this form and emailing it to us prior to your appointment will save you time when arriving at our rooms. Download the form by clicking here. If it is not possible for you to complete it prior to arrival, just come a few minutes early so you can do it at reception.

You may also like to bring any other information you think is relevant, such as:

Written information regarding your relevant medical history, in particular prior biopsy reports, operation reports and a list of current medications.
Any scans or x-rays relating to your consultation. If possible, please bring your scans on USB, and bring a copy of the report.

Referral

We recommend obtaining a referral from your General Practitioner (GP) or another specialist before your first appointment.
A referral provides us with useful information about your medical history, as well as the opportunity to communicate with your GP or other specialists. A referral also enables you to claim the Medicare rebate for your specialist consultation and helps to attract Medicare and health insurance benefits for any subsequent procedure.
